When I was attending night classes in Interior Design my mentor and Professor, Rosanne Scarpelli, told me to become a student member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers). She said that it would be beneficial in the future.

In my internet search to learn what I wasn’t taught in school I stubbled upon several Interior Design Podcasts. I’ve never listened to any before but in the past few months I found three that I’m obsessed with!
Many Interior Design blogs I have read are about trends, DIY, and/or great interior spaces. They contain beautiful images by talented designers I admire. This blog may eventually be similar but for now it’s about the journey of a career change.

So that’s the opening sentence and reality of my world! I have been a Children’s Wear Designer, in NYC, for the past 23 years. I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology and received a BFA in Fashion Design.
