In an effort to catch up to date on my blogging this post is going to contain all the happenings from May and June combined! This way I’ll be up to date and can blog on Friday mornings about my week and then follow it with my Facebook Live Week in Review. So here goes my friends!
As I mentioned at the end of the last blog post I was fortunate enough to take Maria Killam’s Color Workshop at the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, NY this past April. Maria is a True Color Expert and blogger of Color Me Happy. The course was originally supposed to be in NYC but due to cost and the need for a venue with proper lighting it switched to Long Beach which is literally twenty minutes from my house!
So, it has been a minute since my last blog post and by a minute I mean about a month. Completely overwhelmed by the thought of writing a blog post on each and every event or course I have taken up to now caused me to freeze and stop updating since I fell behind. One result of this was I started posting a Facebook Live video every Friday since around April called “Week in Review”.
I was first introduced to Lilian August by my sister who lives in Norwalk, CT where the Flagship Store and Outlet Center are located. My sister has several Lillian August pieces in her home and frequently visits the stores. On several occasions she told me that I HAVE to go to the store in Norwalk when I am ready to redesign my house.
This blog post is about the benefits I have experienced as an eDesigner with a big box company over the past six months. It has been a work in progress (probably way too long) but here it finally is! For those of you like me, who skim through a post, I have listed the benefits and then gone into more detail for anyone interested in the longer version. There are a lot of project images shown so hopefully the visual interest helps break up all the text. : ))
As I mentioned in last week’s blog post networking for Interior Design is extremely important. During the last two weeks of February I attended four events. Two of those were a result of listening to a Podcast, one was through ASID and the other was an IDS CEU that I was invited to by a designer friend I met at a previous event.
