So, it has been a minute since my last blog post and by a minute I mean about a month. Completely overwhelmed by the thought of writing a blog post on each and every event or course I have taken up to now caused me to freeze and stop updating since I fell behind. One result of this was I started posting a Facebook Live video every Friday since around April called “Week in Review”.
I was first introduced to Lilian August by my sister who lives in Norwalk, CT where the Flagship Store and Outlet Center are located. My sister has several Lillian August pieces in her home and frequently visits the stores. On several occasions she told me that I HAVE to go to the store in Norwalk when I am ready to redesign my house.
This blog post is about the benefits I have experienced as an eDesigner with a big box company over the past six months. It has been a work in progress (probably way too long) but here it finally is! For those of you like me, who skim through a post, I have listed the benefits and then gone into more detail for anyone interested in the longer version. There are a lot of project images shown so hopefully the visual interest helps break up all the text. : ))
As I mentioned in last week’s blog post networking for Interior Design is extremely important. During the last two weeks of February I attended four events. Two of those were a result of listening to a Podcast, one was through ASID and the other was an IDS CEU that I was invited to by a designer friend I met at a previous event.
When I was attending night classes in Interior Design my mentor and Professor, Rosanne Scarpelli, told me to become a student member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers). She said that it would be beneficial in the future.
My daughter, Isabella, outgrew her love of purple moving onto a sophisticated gray color palette.
